Grammy Lin came up for an afternoon from her conference in San Diego just to say hi to me! And she gave me lots of kisses and fed me my bottle! Can't wait to see her again.
Today we went to Ardenwood Farms with Javier to carve pumpkins and get some fresh air. Javier is a friend in William's kindergarten class. As you can see, they did a great job with the carving. In fact, if we let them keep going they would have carved the pumpkins into little piles of mush!
Once William starts getting his PJs on, he also starts to get his groove on. I think he's ready for "So You Think You Can Dance?" Don't you? At least he's got the right outfit to get noticed.
Contrary to what most people think, the giraffe is the best "watchdog" out there of all the safari animals. My giraffe, named Gigi, always keeps a look out while I'm sleeping. She's tall enough to see out of my car seat and let's me know if its time for some good mother's milk again. I always feel safe with Gigi.
Jack and William have become fast friends. They play baseball together, play Monopoly together, act silly at dinner together, and eat bagels together at the school yard near our house. They've been to the Giants and the A's together this summer. Jack's in first grade at a different school but he and William have known each other since preschool two years ago.
William got his Halloween costume today. After much deliberation and dithering and going back and forth, he finally decided to be... (find out on Halloween)
I'm not sure Lila knows it yet but she's got the greatest mama and the greatest big brother anyone could ever have. I love how their smiles and their eyes hold the same sparkle and life!
Here is a view of the bay and San Fran as people watch the Blue Angels do their annual air show over the water and even right over the Golden Gate bridge.
Tomorrow we will see the show up close...and loud!
Update: We didn't end up going to see the Blue Angels on Sunday. We'll wait until next year.
William and Javier enjoyed walking together to school this morning, although that last hill was a tough one. A bunch of parents met at the local coffee shop and trooped the mile or so to school. Hopefully we will start doing this once a week instead of always taking the public bus.
