My Second 5K

Just finished my second 5k of the year -- a beautiful run through Golden Gate park on a gorgeous spring morning out here in San Francisco. I actually ran three consecutive 10-minute miles... which is a big accomplishment for me! Whoohoo!

It's Official!

Finally it's official! I'm the new Director of Communications for Pyatok Architects, an affordable housing advocacy and architecture firm in downtown Oakland. Who'd have believed I could get a job in this economy, much less a great one?! I'll be promoting Pyatok's cutting-edge projects and ideas about developing sustainable communities through building quality affordable housing. I'll be their media messenger, their social media guru, their web site strategist, and their wordsmith extraordinaire. It will be quite a culture shift to re-enter the working world after twelve years of grad school and consulting work (ah, the flexibility), but I'm ready to make my cubicle my own communications kingdom!

Thanks to all who supported my job search, gave me leads, and reminded me that somebody out there, somewhere, would love to have my unique talent of being me!

job. I've got one note chance to convince them to make me their
Communications Director. Fingers crossed!
